Lovely and very informative leader. We went to three venues. Only one was playing jazz. It got expensive. We bought drinks and were asked to tip the musicians at each. One of the venues had a cover charge which was subsequently refunded by the tour company which I appreciated.

We took this tour as we were hoping to be introduced to some of the jazz and music venues in harlem, a district we hadn't ever been to on our travels to New York before. We were not disappointed. There was only my husband and I on the tour but the tour guide took us along anyway. We had a walking tour of Harlem itself and then snook into a small local bar actually looked like a house where we were treated to an hour or so of Jazz music. We would never have found that venue if we weren't on the tour so I would definitely recommend this tour to others that are after experiencing a more 'local' time in the city.

Just too expensive. The shows and places were great, but paying $100 for a Guide is not worth it. We had a guided tour in the dark and some anecdotes, but most of the evening the Guide sits and listens to the show.
