Everglades Airboat Safari

Overview

Explore the Everglades on an airboat adventure. This tour includes transportation, park entrance, airboat ride, the airboat tour, and free time to walk the park and see all the alligator exhibits. Have the chance to see alligators up close in their natural habitat, as well as the many exhibits scattered throughout the park. This half day tour departs twice daily at 9:30 and 1:30.

Alligators…they are inexplicable! They are atrocious! They are exciting! And above all, they are must see when you are in the Everglades. If you wish to get up-close and personal with alligators then there’s no better way out than taking alligator tours.

Miami Tours was a disappointment! Spoke to two of the ladies at the ticket counter and their attitude was bad standard! The busdriver spoke neither English nor Spanish, so people had a bad time understanding what he said. The bus drive to Everglades was nice, but very cold! He had to be told to adjust the AC. The boat ride was nice, but too short. On the return we had a stop at a highway café for 30 minutes and we had to get out of the bus. Really annoying!!! Tourist trap😠 When finally back on the bus the driver put on the movie Avatar,- high volume. There were signs in the bus saying we shouldn’t forget to tip the driver. Then before arriving at the main terminal the driver reminded us about tipping him. Unheard!

The trip on the airboat was great. The guide on the airboat was well informed and friendly. We got to see several alligators. However we were rushed away from the park after a short visit to the alligators and were stopped at a petrol station along the motorway on the way back so that we could buy burgers. We would have much preferred to stay at the park to explore the trails and see all the exhibits as per brochure. The burger stop in the most horrible of petrol stations was never advertised, and not welcomed! Left a complaint form at the office but never got a reply.
