What To Expect
1
Exit Glacier
This is where your Glacier Hiking Adventure takes place. The hike up the mountain is approximately 1.5 miles, with 1,500 feet of elevation gain - this is the most physically exerting part of the trip. This is the part of the trip that requires the overall rating to be Strenuous. 8-Hour Tour: The 8-hour tour departs at 8:00am and returns at 4:00pm. The whole tour will last about 8 hours in total, with the possibility of spending upwards of 2 to 4 hours on the ice! The "ice-time" all depends on how long the hike up the mountains takes as a group. We do not rush any part of this trip, and the group will move together at a comfortable pace. *The 8-hr tour offers a more relaxed/flexible pace with more rest breaks, if needed.
2
Kenai Fjords National Park
At the edge of the Kenai Peninsula lies a land where the ice age lingers. Nearly 40 glaciers flow from the Harding Icefield, Kenai Fjords’ crowning feature. Wildlife thrives in icy waters and lush forests around this vast expanse of ice. Native Alutiiq relied on these resources to nurture a life entwined with the sea.

We had the most wonderful time! We did the Two Day Bears Adventure with Jesse in Lake Clark and the Exit Glacier Ice Hiking Adventure with Jonathan. Both trips were absolutely amazing!! Visiting all the National Parks is on our bucket list, and Lake Clark is a bit of a challenge, but we were really excited to get to go with KBA. We saw so many bears in Lake Clark, and Jesse guided us on how to approach the bears respectfully and carefully so that they (and we) felt safe. The food was delicious, and the trip was very peaceful, rain notwithstanding. We hiked Exit Glacier the next day with Jonathan, and he set a great pace so that we weren't exhausted on the trail but still had a good amount of time on the glacier. We saw a lot of features, drank fresh glacial water, and had a nice lunch on the ice before heading back. The two trips were very different, but both were amazing and I would totally do them again! Kyle and Deana were also both incredibly helpful getting us booked and helping us make adjustments as need be (and patient with our million questions!). I would absolutely travel with KBA again, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful time in the Lake Clark / Seward / Kenai Fjords area!

We had an absolute wonderful time with our guide Jonathon. Very knowledgeable about the glacier and equipment. Weather cleared up beautifully for us and it ended up being a little over 7 miles total round trip. Would not recommend for a beginner hiker or if you have a fear of heights. Also secure your electronics, RIP iPhone.

We had an amazing experience on the glacier with our guides Caleb and Emma. They were very professional, friendly and patient. They knew the trail well and provided us lunch as well. We definitely recommend doing this glacier hike in Alaska!
