Overview
You'll experience a nice personalized tour with a “local friend”. It’ll just be your group so its very personalized and private. If there are other guests other than your own group (max is 5 guests) so it'll still be a very small private group so you will never feel " rushed” unlike being with a large tour in a huge bus. You’ll have a wonderful time seeing and exploring iconic landmarks as well as hidden gems throughout the island. This tour has a basic itinerary but can be customized! Areas we’ll visit will also depend on the weather, your mobility and the mobility of others. Min. 2 Max: 4 people

What To Expect
1
Halona Blowhole
Description: Halona Beach Cove on the south-eastern shore of Oahu at the foot of Koko Crater is a beach that gained popularity after the shooting of the movie "From here to eternity" on the location in 1953. The beach is small and sandy pocketed on three side by steep, jagged lava rock. The site offers an ideal location for swimming but caution must be taken and not attempt swimming when the surf is rough. Outside of the protected area, the current can often be quite strong and the water turbulent. The beach is hidden from view from the parking. Access requires going down a steep path. Although the path is easy, care should be taken as the rocks are slippery and sharp. You should always wear shoes to hike the rocks to reach the beach.
2
Makapuu Lighthouse Trail
Makapuʻu Point is the easternmost point on the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu, located in the Makapuʻu region. Twelve miles east of Honolulu, it is a popular hiking spot, offering great views of Makapuʻu and Waimanalo Bay on one side and the Ka ʻIwi Channel on the other side.
3
Nu’uanu Pali
Pali Lookout has deep historical significance located above Pali highway tunnels where you will see panoramic views of Oahu’s Winward side. This is the site of the bloodiest battle where King Kamehameha won against the other Kings to get all the island stuff under his rule.
4
North Shore Macadamia Nut Company
North Shore Macadamia Nut Company
5
Kahuku
Lunch at one of the three main Kahuku Shrimp Trucks: Romy’s, Fumi’s and, of course, Giovanni’s.
6
Laniakea Beach
Laniakea Beach, affectionately known as Turtle Beach. Here, Hawaiian green sea turtles, also known by the Hawaiian name honu, play in the nearshore waters and bask on the sandy beach. Since they’re a threatened species and protected under the Endangered Species Act and Hawaii state law, you’re not allowed to touch, feed or play with the honu.
7
Dole Plantation
Dole Plantation, located on the North Shore of Oahu, provides enjoyable activities for the entire family, including the Pineapple Express Train Tour, the Plantation Garden Tour, and the Pineapple Garden Maze.

I booked this Family friendly explore Oahu highlights tour with Hawaii Dream Tours with Julie. There were for 4 of us (3 adults and a 3 yo) and it was great. My aunt had a walker and Julie was very kind and patient. We were the only group on tour so we were able to do what we wanted to do at our own pace. Julie was very personable, accommodating and flexible. She was on time in picking us up from our Airbnb in Diamond Head. She took us to some popular touristy spots but also showed some hidden gems. She was very knowledgeable about the island. She answered all of our questions. Spending the day with Julie was one of the best things we did on our trip to Hawaii. I highly recommend this tour with Julie instead of a large group tour on a bus. It was worth every penny!!!

Thank you so much for the great review Diane! I really enjoyed getting to know and your family. It was my duty to ensure that each and everyone of you were comfortable with the pace of the tour.... I’m so glad you all had a great time. Please come back and visit again! Aloha and Mahalo ~ Julie
