Savannah’s Historic District encompasses more than 20 city squares laid out in a distinctive grid pattern by General James E. Oglethorpe, founder of the British Colony of Georgia in 1733

Chippewa Square

Chippewa Square is named for an event on the northern border with Canada. In the Battle of Chippewa, in 1814, American forces emerged victorious over the British near Niagara Falls, and when Chippewa Square was built in 1815.

The original plan was to book one of the other trolly tours that advertise heavily. After calling them + Grayline/Kelly the decision to book was clear. The 2nd day hop on/off trolly included in the $28, then the $2 AAA discount plus the super helpful Jaime(?) that answered my FOUR phone calls were all sure signs that this would be money well spent. This was my third trip driving thru Savannah while heading up/down I-95. Just a few months ago we had done a walking tour. We were fully satisfied with the tour even though we are mildly familiar with the spots visited. Barri covered the required content and answered patron questions. Some extra personal material was added. Barri was funny enough. Sometimes guides can be annoying. Thank you Barri! And Jamie(?)

Came to Savannah at the slow season during the Covid pandemic. Was the only one in the trolley so I got exceptional service from the your guide. Big Scott's knowledge of the city was amazing, and he wasn't just reciting a script.
