We believe a meal on Kauai should be unique and represent the abundance, flavors and cultures of the island.! Our experience offers a showcase of what grows on Kauai in our regenerative food forest: A collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak'i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! More importantly it demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony with nature, planted in concert so there is no need for imported fertilizers and pesticides. The tour concludes with a family style meal to savor and enjoy while celebrating the delicious diversity that exists on Kauai all while exploring our mission here at Common Ground. 100% Island sourced because it should be, from the cooking oil to the seasonings. Join us as we explore Common Ground's magnificent campus. The walking tour meanders through our regenerative food forest, designed by Director of Agroecology John Parziale, where he and his team explain its intricate and interconnected systems. We’ll experience the offerings of the land more deeply through a fruit tasting including fresh, local and traditional varieties. We'll finish our day at the Common Ground lounge with pupus made primarily with ingredients grown on Kauai! Wine, beer and farm-crafted cocktails available for purchase. Equally perfect as a family outing or a an adventure with your friends. Get excited about eating delicious new foods grown through regenerative agriculture that nourish both the earth and our bodies. My husband and I had the most incredible experience at Common Ground in Kauai! It was eye-opening to learn that 90% of the island’s food is imported, which makes what they’re doing here so special. Everything they serve is grown locally, right on their land. We started with a fascinating tour of their lush gardens, where we learned about unique crops like breadfruit and their sustainable farming practices. Afterward, we browsed a wonderful selection of goods from local merchants, which added such a special touch to the experience. The highlight of the visit was the dinner—absolutely delicious! The grass-fed local beef was perfectly cooked, and every bite showcased the fresh, vibrant flavors of their locally grown produce. This place isn’t just a meal; it’s a journey into sustainability, community, and the beauty of Kauai. I left feeling inspired and with a deeper appreciation for local food systems. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the island!

Interesting concept. Great mission for renewable food sources. Food was phenomenal. There were both new things to try and things i'd had before that I'd not liked in the past, but were made delicious by this interpretation.

Really enjoyed the walk to sugar cane damn. Beautiful. The staff was so friendly and even helped me identify some birds. So interesting learning about the types of plants and food. Dinner was very good and they had great cocktails. They also provided nice umbrellas if needed. Bring bug spray although they do sell a natural one there if you forget yours. Try all the honey. It was great and I bought some for friends.
