This Extended Lakes Helicopter flight takes you beyond the lake view flight. You will fly directly over Douglas Dam, and proceed over the lake. In the summer you get great sun-glistening views of the water and the people enjoying their time on the lake. During the winter months, the water level is lower allowing for incredible views of exposed islands and coves. Minimum of 2 guests to book flight.

Douglas Lake

On this tour you will climb to almost 1000 feet. You will see view of the French Broad River, Douglas Lake and Mountain Views in the distance. This is our most popular lake flight.

I am very scared of heights, I’m talking like crying on the SkyBridge scared. They were very helpful talking me through it! Our pilot was Tony, he was great! It’s a short ride, but it felt much longer than what it was. I may not tackle the SkyBridge ever again, but I will definitely go back for another helicopter ride and probably do a longer one! They take photos of you getting out and standing in front of the helicopter and you can take all the photos and video you want while you’re in the air!

It was neat, at one point the pilot said we were going 125 miles an hour and it seemed like we were still.
