My wife and I along with our oldest daughter and son-in-law spent the afternoon on the New River with WVA and had a blast! We chose the Afternoon Express trip and we’re glad we did. The trip was from 3-7 pm on the lower part of the river and is intermediate in skill level with class 2,3 and 4 rapids. Our guide Will was superb in guiding the raft down the river making sure we were safe and still get the best trip the river offered that day. We learned lots of trivia about the area during the float and the scenery is spectacular. The team at WVA is the best we have encountered compared to other float trips we have taken. Tristan, our group leader for the day was informative and funny while giving the safety brief to keep everyone at ease about the trip. Next time we are in SW West Virginia we will definitely be using WVA again, probably on the Gualey for a fall whitewater trip.

Our trip was a blast! We loved floating in the water and jumping off rocks! The rapids were memorable and beautiful! Our guide, Will, was incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic!

We had an excellent time rafting with this gang. We are a family of four (kids aged 10 and 13) from MA. I was super hesitant rafting with a small business for 5 hours out in the wild for the first time. But I am glad I went with WV adventures. Trent was a great guide, gave a lot of background on the park and the rafting process. We had our own raft and Trent for a guide. Another family rafted alongside in a different raft with a different guide Will who was equally amazing. The owner was awesome and was right there all the time ensuring safety and fun. White water rafting in the New River is an excellent way to absorb the beauty and history of America's newest national park and doing it with WV Adventures was icing on the cake. I am not a swimmer and thoroughly enjoyed the Class 1 and 2 with this family rafting trip. For the brave at heart Trent and Will and others from WV Adventures will happily take you on the Class IV or V.
