I have done this trip several times, the most recent this past September with my best friend, this was her first time. Captain Lauderdale took us out and tried very hard to find us wildlife. He also taught us about the ecosystem, from animals to sawgrass, we learned a little bit of it all. We saw several types of birds, and land reptiles. We were able to see 1 alligator off in the distance (about 40 yards away). The experience is really about the air boat ride, if it doesn't make you smile at least a little bit you really shouldn't be on vacation because you must be the grumpy type, and nobody likes those people. You have to keep in mind this is in the wild, so itās not guaranteed that you will see alligators, but Captain Laudedale does his best to find them. The exhibits are small and simple, but everything you want to see, you wonāt feel rushed through or pressured into leaving.
