Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

The tour guide was pretty boring. Expected to see more sights. We only saw a few sights with 30 minutes of talking in between. Not what we expected. It was advertised we would see a lot of sights which we didn’t. Pretty disappointing.

Hi Leyla, this is Ted Clark, owner of Hub Town Tours. We're a small, local business and our high-quality reputation and talented guides are the most important assets we have. I'm very sorry to hear such negative feedback, and will be reaching out to you directly to learn more about any issues. Over the last six years in operation, our guides have earned hundreds of 5-star reviews for their passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge. This actually includes guests in the very same small-group tour as you! We recognize that our chronological, storytelling approach to Revolutionary Boston may not be the right tour for every guest, but we try to make this very clear in the tour description. Our tours are not just Boston sightseeing, but rather an in-depth history walk focused on the iconic Freedom Trail. We take guest feedback very seriously and I have already spoken to your tour guide. They assured me that nothing unusual occurred on your tour, the group viewed all 16 official Freedom Trail landmarks, and everyone reached the expected conclusion at Copp’s Hill Terrace in the North End. Our experience is specifically advertised as a Freedom Trail tour and there are only 16 official sites along the trail. Even so, I’m sorry our historical tour did not match your sightseeing expectations.

Our guide Matthew was fun, knowledgeable and talented. He did a spectacular job entertaining the group, educated us about the history of Boston. Always love the city more when you know more about it.

All our guides strive to be as educational as we are entertaining on tour, and Matthew has the perfect blend of both for our Freedom Trail walking tour. Thanks for shopping local and supporting our small business!

Darcie was an awesome tour guide. She had lots of information to share, and was very knowledgeable on the Revolution. It was clear that she is a history teacher and loves her subject.
