Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! Your 2.5-hour tour travels from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace in the North End, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Our tour guide John was entertaining, informative and attentive to the participants needs and questions. Both couples had been to Boston before and yet John was able to make us see Boston’s history in a fashion that made the city seem new to all of us. He kept things moving but we never felt rushed. In addition, Hub was able to switch our tour time at the last moment after initially setting up an additional tour time for us that day. We have done tours all over the world and I can’t recommend John and the company enough.

I and a co-worker had a Saturday morning off. So we went online and found a freedom trail tour. We throughoughly enjoyed our walk around Boston. Clio, our guide was fantastic! She has advanced degrees in history and you can tell! She didn't just memorize a "script". She talked to us extensively about each stop on the tour and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Like authour David McCulough, Clio had the ability to paint an historical painting with words. She brought 2d stories to 3d life!. I can highly recommend this tour company and Clio as your guide!

Wow, thank you for this amazing review! We appreciate that you picked us to show you Boston. Clio is an excellent and engaging historian, and all our guides love to bring our own studies, expertise, and passions to our tours. And we love questions, too! So glad you had a vivid and enjoyable experience with Clio.
