Candy was our tour leader, what a knowledgeable and personable woman! Not only did we get an awesome history lesson of the region, she followed through visuals and further explanations as we requested. All of the "tastings" were delicious. All the people we encountered through the after at each restaurant seemed genuinely pleased to have us visit. Time and money -- well spent. Thank You

We did a 2.5 hour French Quarter Culinary History and Tasting Tour. We have done food tours in different cities and found this tour to be 'world class' for three reasons. First and foremost, our guide Michael. Although not a NOLA native, he was very knowledgeable and shared just enough information to make the tour both informative and fun. Second, access to places you normally wouldn't be able to find (or be able to access) including behind the scenes of several of the oldest establishments in town. Third, a large variety of food (red beans and rice, turtle soup, gumbo, bread pudding, etc.). If you are curious about food traditions, like to discover new tastes with others and enjoy discovering hidden treasures, this tour is for you. Two useful pieces of information: You will stand most of the time with an opportunity to sit from time to time. The amount of food adds up to a "light lunch" so don't eat too much before the tour! Our only regret is that we did not do this first - we could have then made better choices about where and what do eat!
