Our daughter is a major young foodie (14) so we decided to keep this part of our trip a surprise until we arrived for the tour. She was thrilled! This is a great tour if you love good food. We are not huge fans of guided tours so we were thrilled that this also gave us a good look at the French Quarter. This will be the only time our daughter sees Bourbon Street for a while! But it's safe from 2-5 :) Another reviewer listed all the food on the tour and ours was the same. The history of the restaurants and some behind the scenes info on how the industry works was very interesting. Chef George was our guide and he was very good. The muffaletta and gelato from La Divina was very memorable. You will walk a lot - but after all the food you should be eating in NOLA you need to be walking! You seriously need to do this tour the first or second day you arrive in NOLA because you will want to go back to some places on the tour and some mentioned during the tour. Enjoy!

Loved this tour! Combined an interesting tour of the French Quarter with samples of great New Orleans food from some great restaurants! The tour was from 2 - 5pm, when the restaurants aren't busy, so we got to go inside and take a look and sample some great food! Rene was our guide and she knows her stuff! We had Creole Seafood Gumbo at Antoine's, Shrimp Remoulade at Arnaud's, Turtle soup at the Desire Oyster Bar, Beef Brisket at Tujague's, along with Muffaletta, Gelato, Red Beans & Rice, and Pralines at other stops. Ran into a Second Line along the way. Very informative and a great late lunch! Wear some good walking shoes, but you do get to stop and sit down frequently along the way. Came away with lots of places to return to and felt we had a better appreciation for the history of the French Quarter! Highly recommend this tour!
