This is a two hour, very gentle walking tour. We picked the French Quarter, and Wayne was our knowledgeable, friendly and funny guide. From general Jackson, to the architecture and food, we learned about New Orleans and the history of the area. I recommend this tour as it is run by the Historical Society.

We took this tour on a Sunday morning in New Orleans....a small group (five persons total). Our tour guide, Linda (former school teacher) shared a lot of information about the history of the city and the French Quarter as we walked around. It was a hot, humid day and Linda did a great job of trying to keep us in the shade as much as possible. There is so much to see and do in the French Quarter...a two hour tour can only begin to scratch the surface but the tour was a great introduction to our week long visit to New Orleans.

We are glad you enjoyed your tour, keep guests in the shade in the heat is something our guides learn in class! Thank you for your support of the FOC and Louisiana State Museum.

The Cabildo tour I took in June of 2015 was informative and full of the type of New Orleans lore that one would imagine in the French Quarter. My guide Josh told stories about the explorers and their nations who shaped the city and how it influenced the architecture. Don't worry--it wasn't all serious--he told a ghost story or two and walked me by locations for the top food spots for gumbo, pralines, beignets, and the ultimate sandwich--the mufaletta. Great way to learn more about the city.
