This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

My wife and I took a walking tour w/friends today. Our tour guide was a man named Hopper….We had a fun, informative, intuitive and interactive two hour walk in The French Quarter…We would highly recommend Friends of the Cabildo and Hopper Jude and Jollylou Schwartz

The tour was very informative but didn't cover as large of an area that I expected from a 2 hour tour. Make sure to wear very comfortable shoes as you will do a lot of standing. The guides are volunteers so be sure to tip. If you are interested more in the learning than the site-seeing, than this is a great tour.
