I read about this tour in the New Orleans Lonely Planet New Orleans Guidebook. We did this on the first day of our visit. It was great introduction to the French Quarter and the history of New Orleans. Our guide was very knowlegeable.

Logistics was an issue for this guide. You'd think it was his first time in the Qtr. He was a bit long winded but his history of the NOLA settlement, culture, history and architecture was solid. We learned things that were not just listed on Wikipedia.
