This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

We took the walking tour and we’re very happy we did. Christine was our guide. She was thorough and gave us a wonderful overview of the quarter. We learned a lot about the history, culture and architecture. We would highly recommend this tour.

Tom and Keith led our group on a 2 hour walking tour around the French quarter in New Orleans. It was one of the best tours I’ve been on and it included historical facts on the city’s founding and how it became a mixture of creole and cajun cultures. Terrific!!!
