This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

We learned so much on the walking tour with Catherine. She shared details and history we found interesting and we came away with a greater appreciation of New Orleans. The walk around the French Quarter was easy and well organized. I liked that by booking with Friends of the Cabildo organization the money went to a good cause.

Excellent tour with our guide Donna. Learned about the history of the French Quarter and New Orleans. Not too much walking so easily doable for everyone.
