When my husband and I went to NOLA years ago we did this tour on our last day, and were so sorry we didn't do it on the first day because it was such a great intro to the city. This trip we did it first thing and carried the things we learned through the rest of the stay. They give you a good foundation of the history, politics, and also little quirks about the city. The Friends of the Cabildo can be counted on for accurate history, and Roger made it fun. In addition to the history, there are tips for finding your way around, info on what is located where, answers to "what the heck is that?" things you see around the city, and overviews of the architecture styles. A lot of the other tours are less accurate with history, so it was good to feel like we had an accurate grasp of the whole picture to start.

This was a very interesting tour throughout the French Quarter focusing on history and architecture. Bill, our guide, had a depth of knowledge and was very friendly. I would do it again and recommend to others. Cost of your tour includes admission to the 1850 House museum as well.

Diane gave our group of 10 an excellent architectural, historical tour of the blocks surrounding Jackson Square. Loved learning about the different French, Spanish and Creole architecture and the history of the building on Jackson Square. As a longtime native, Diane also had an immense knowledge of New Orlens history. Thank you!
