I took this tour a couple of weeks back. The guide (whose name, sadly, I forget) was wonderful, fabulously well informed and very congenial. Undeterred by a sudden heavy downpour, she continued with her talk as we huddled under cover on the footpath. A most memorable morning!

We went on the tour with Simone, who was an outstanding guide! She knew so much about the quarter and she brought the quarter alive through her stories and her in-depth knowledge. Simone made sure that all our questions were answered, she was flexible and patient with the different needs of the group. Given the construction that was going on in several locations, we were impressed by her vocal strength! This tour is one of the best things to do while in New Orleans, and Simone is one of the best guides I've ever had. (All of the guides are volunteers which speaks to the passion they have for history and for their city.)

We had Danielle as our guide and we enjoyed every minute of our 2 hours+ walking tour. Our group was only 7 people and our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommended. You also get admission to the 1850 house museum, which was nice but only kept us occupied for 30 minutes.
