This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

Our tour guide was excellent and thorough. They are volunteers so in addition to the paid price everyone in our group also tipped our guide. We would recommend this walking tour which lasts about 2 hours.

We enjoyed this tour immensely.... it was informative, lots of history and background on the beginnings of New Orleans and its characters. The group was small (8) which made it easy to listen to our enthusiastic tour guide as we walked around the French quarter. Recommend for anyone new to New Orleans.
