Our guide Ben a native of New Orleans and retired from the railways was very informative and interesting. His interest in his families genealogy reflected and explained the melting pot of nationalities and culture in New Orleans. It helped us understand why New Orleans was strategically built here, the different styles of architecture and cuisine. The difference between Creole and Cajun. This information served us well for the rest of our trip here. Would definitely recommend this trip for anyone wanting to know more about New Orleans.

We did a tour with Don Nolan and he was great. Spent extra time taking us in the church and giving a very personal informative tour. Just the best.

Of the 3 tours we took in New Orleans this was by far the best. Our guide, Mary, a native of New Orleans, did the tour in period dress. She was an excellent story teller, serious but with just the right amount of humor & got to her points quickly. I don't think there's anything she doesn't know about the French Quarter. The Friends of the Cabildo tours are have more of a historical bent. Some of the other tours I read reviews on seemed a bit cheesy. The 1850 house tour was a nice bonus, seeing how people lived back then. It makes you appreciate the things we have now that we take for granted...like bathrooms! If you take one French Quarter tour make it this one & ask for Mary.
