Stephen was a great guide - a mine of local information and stories as we drove out to Texas Hill Country from downtown Austin. We arrived at Salt Lick for BBQ at 11am just as it opened. This is a VERY famous and popular BBQ spot and my only complaint about the your is that it would have been nice to visit this after the wineries. We then visited Driftwood Winery - this has a wide variety of white, red and dessert wines all of which were of a high standard. We visited on a cloudy, cold day but the views are nonetheless spectacular. We then visited Dutchman Family Winery and had a further tasting which was equally good. Highly recommended 4 hour tour suitable for any age adult.

My parents and I enjoyed our Salt Lick and Winery Shuttle tour immensely. Richard was a fantastic guide, and he provided us with great information on our way to BBQ. And oh, the BBQ was absolutely fantastic. After gorging ourselves with food, we visited two wineries. Both had fantastic wine, and we were really impressed with the classy nature of the wineries. We saw some great sights on this tour, and it was nice to get out of the city for a bit. Iā€™ve never tried Texas wines before, but Iā€™ll happily look for them in the future. Thanks for a great day.

A great way to see the Hill Country. First stop is Salt Lick for tasty bbq, then Driftwood and Duchman Wineries. There is plenty of time to enjoy the food and wine at each stop and our guide, Ike, was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. I highly recommend if youā€™d like to get out if the city for a few hours.
