Really enjoyed the Salt Lick and Winery Tour with Austin Detours. Cari and Richard were our tour guides and they were fantastic!. Knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Would definitely do this again and when in Austin again, will be using them for other interesting tours we did not have time for on this trip.

It was not the best day in Austin with grey clouds and down pours. My husband and I were not even sure we should go along for the tour. We were so glad we went along ! Kurt from Austin Detours was bright and friendly from the outset. He gave us such interesting information on the bus, made sure that we knew exactly what to expect at each stop and was helpful with any questions we had about Austin. We loved seeing the real Texas country and this put our city experience into a proper context. Our first stop was the Salt Lick BBQ and although we could not sit outdoors, the food served and the company in our group made it a great experience. The stops at the Driftwood Estate Winery and the Duchman Estate Winery were excellent too. The former as a result of the friendly and welcoming hosts and tasting local wines in a stunning location. The latter for the excellence of the wines we tasted and the very knowledgeable wine server. We came away with lovely wine glasses and excellent memories. We could not fault this trip and would recommend it to others, such a relaxing and fun tour !

We went on the Salt Lick bbq and Winery tour today. There were 11 people on the tour. First we went to Salt Lick for a bbq lunch, followed by tasting at two wineries. It was a really enjoyable trip and our guide Ike was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would thoroughly recommend this trip, as long as you donā€™t need to drive later!
