This tour was a fantastic way to see outside of Austin. I had previously been to Austin, so I wanted a unique experience that was out of the city. This was the answer! I had always wanted to go to Salt Lick and the Texas Wine Country, but renting a car or Uber-ing is not a great option. This shuttle is the perfect way to explore. There was plenty of enough time at each stop and we were back in time to still enjoy most day/evening in Austin. The tour guide (I feel so bad for forgetting her name) was fantastic, super funny, and made sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. Definitely recommend this tour for someone who wants to see outside of Austin and enjoy amazing BBQ and delicious wine.

Austin Detours does an excellent job of showing off the Texas Hill Country right outside of Austin. A group of five girls did the BBQ and wine tour on a Friday. It was a little long, but worth it. The BBQ is delicious and different from a lot of other BBQ places. I would highly recommend the pulled pork. The wineries were beautiful. The tastings were priced well and there were some really delicious choices to try. Lastly, the highlight of the trip was Justin our tour guide. Do yourself a favor and request him. He is so knowledgeable and friendly, You will not regret it! We were lucky enough to spend his birthday with him. This tour is great for couples and groups of friends alike.

Nice tour- a shuttle takes you to the Salt lick BBQ restaurant FIRST- so make sure you go hungry bc we ate lunch at around 11:30. In this tour only transportation is provided, so all your food and beverage is your responsibility. Salt lick was a really cool family owned BBQ spot. Service was fast and food was good. We then went to 2 wineries, both were nice, cute family owned and got to do tastings. Overall the tour was good and you get to see a part outside of the city- but i wouldn't recommend this tour if its your first trip to austin and you only have a few days. Tour guide Elisa was great and friendly.
