This was my first visit to the Everglades and I enjoyed every minute of it. Garl was friendly and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend taking one of his tours. Our tour included a walk through the cypress (the tree frogs and wild orchids were so amazing), a peaceful paddle through fresh water where we saw a HUGE alligator locally referred to as "One Eye," and then we paddled out on Florida Bay where we saw lemon sharks and tons of birds and manged to catch a gorgeous sunset as we kayaked back. As an added bonus, Garl took photos through out the day of all the fun things we did or saw, and made them available to us for free so I didn't have to worry about getting my camera wet. All in all the tour was the highlight of my entire time in Florida.

Our guide was Garl, the Steve Irwin of the Everglades. He took us to places we would not have gone by ourselves. If you want to know ANYTHING about the Everglades or the wildlife, Garl has the answer. He showed us baby alligators, an owl, a 15'/5m Crocodile, an alligator that ran towards Garl as he was picking up a plastic bag (which was the only piece garbage that I saw), frogs, spiders, lizards, air-plants, Roseate Spoon Bills, Osprey, Snowy Egrets, Great White Herons, fresh water turtles and countless other things. My wife saw a Sawfish which I am upset about, because I want to see one. But at least I got to see the Bobcat and she didn't! We will be going again! It felt like we were on a safari in a different country. It is a great way to enjoy the day in South Florida.

This was my first time experiencing the Everglades and first time seeing an alligator in the wild! It was an amazing experience. Our guide Don was extremely passionate and knowledgable about all the species in the Everglades. He pointed out different bird species, reptiles, mangroves and aquatic life. I learned a lot. There is nothing better than kayaking through pristine water, surrounded by mangroves on a beautiful sunny day. Slogging through Cypress forest gets you down and dirty with the natural environment, checking out alligator holes within a very interesting ecosystem. The staff and other customers on our trip were all very friendly. I would recommend this to anyone visiting South Florida.
