Visiting the Everglades has always been a desire of mine. I lucked out when I booked with Garl. Because of weather and season I was the only one on tour. This could easily be one of my lifes highlights...it was that good. Hiking through the water, kayaking...this was the Everglades I imagined. He has so much knowledge of the Everglades and shares it so well. This is not just a business to him but his passion. I would recommend this trip to anyone. A simply AMAZING experience. We spent 12 hours with Garl walking through the Everglades with water over our knees, kayaking nine mile lake, kayaking at sunset on a Everglades lake to view the roseate spoonbills coming into their nesting island and with the huge mullet jumping all over around us. Finally a walk on Anhinga trail to see and hear the alligators. We were two families with ages from 10 to 20's and 30's and parents in their 50"s and 60's. Something for everyone. Garl is the most knowledgeable, wonderful guide you could find. He plans and executes tailored trips all over the Everglades for all ages and interests. A must if you really want to see the Everglades.

For most of us toiling in the brick and mortar world, an eco-trip to the Everglades, we hoped, would provide that opportunity to step out of our mundane comfort zones and remember, re-experience the pristine challenge of nature, walking through a swamp, paddling through mangroves. My nine-year old son kayaked within 15-20 feet of an eight-foot gator to snap a pic, an experience he will never forget. Completely safe. Garl's is the real deal, way removed from those "used car sales" approaches to nature touring. If you really want to see the Everglades, know how they are changing, how they're being threatened, call and set up a tour. Girl takes his time, teaches, informs, reveals the secrets of the Everglades. He has an amazing eye for wildlife, you will not be disappointed. You'll go home dirty, but satisfied. Our trip will sit in out family's memory bank for along time. Thanks for this great experience.
