Was not sure what to expect from this adventure but it turned out to be one of the most exciting highlights of our stay in Florida! This guy is literally part of the ecology of the Everglades. He is a friend of flora and fauna who seem to seek him out almost appearing on schedule, including a big toothy crocodile. We did the whole day and then a night-walk - our expectations were high and he surpassed them all. It is a big mistake to miss a day with Garl.

Time was short, so we went on a half day trip with Garl in the Everglades. We kayaked, walked back into a swamp, and took a night walk. Garl is a wonderful guide, and knows so much about the Everglades. It was simply amazing, and I learned so much, and saw so much more than I would have on a self guided tour. My 20 year old son was with me, and he loved it too. Garl's kayaks are first rate, he didn't 'cheap out' on them, they have the comfortable seats that you could ride all day. We even had a glass of wine on the water at sunset, great way to end a fine kayak ride. This was well worth the money! I plan to return with photographer friends and do a longer trip that he taylors just for photographers.
