We did that trip as a family as highlight for our trip through the States in August 2012. We were thinking if it is worth paying so much money for a one-day trip for quite a few days an decided then, that it's a "once-in-a-lifetime" expirience and booked Garl for the trip. We were quite worried if our mother could manage the whole day with kayaking and hiking, because she just had a knee-operation but Garl calmed us down and told us that he can arrange the trip individually and that he can paddle our mother. So Garl came the next day to pick us up and drove us to the Everglades (this might be the only time during this day when we kind of felt uncomfortable because Garl was busy with his phone and/or laptop while driving - but we survived ;) ). And then the fun started. Garl was very informative and took good care of us. He knew when to do a brake and told us interesting things. We saw many of the wildlife, even sharks and alligators. And we did have the most amazing sunset on the water. It is absolutely recommended to book Garl and his Everglades-Tour. He knows the place and you can feel, that he loves doing that. It is worth all the money! Thanks again, Garl!

Our family trip to the Everglades with Garl's Coastal Kayaking was a pleasure from start to finish. Our guide, Don, knew EVERYTHING about the places we stopped, and could spot wildlife as if he had superhuman powers of perception. We saw gators, owls, snakes, frogs, fish, and more on our trip. Additionally, it was clear Don really understood and cared about the everglades as a ecosystem - he took care to make sure our visit didn't disturb any animals, and was geared towards appreciating the area while preserving it. Highly recommended as a day trip.

We spent a full day with Don our group guide on our eco tour of the Florida Everglades. We met at "Robert Is Here" fruit stand and followed the van into the park where we left our car and joined 4 other adventurers in the van. Our first stop was to a cypress dome. I thought my wife might turn back as we jumped into water knee deep right off the road. To my delight she was a trooper and went forward, admittedly, a little anxious. We saw a nesting alligator, owls, lizards, snakes. Having survived that we went for and fresh water and then a salt water kayak. Sat and watched the sunset on the peaceful quiet salt water for a good 45 minutes. Tip bring your bug repellant as the mosquitos come out at night. We finished the evening with a walk to see the wildlife at night. Quite an experience. Finished up around 9:30 pm. Don was very knowledgeable, informative and very flexible with our schedule and activities. Highly recommend and we look forward to our next tour with Garl's.
