This trip is the best birthday present ever. For my first trip into the Everglades, I hiked through cypress domes feeling like I had walked into another time or planet. Garl knew every plant and animal hiding spot and took the time to answer all of my questions of "What's this?" "What's that?" I added four new species of birds to my life list and saw a real crocodile (not an alligator). At the end of a very full day, we paddled into to a lovely sunset with a smile I still cannot wipe off of my face. I cannot wait to go back, but always with Garl who respects and understands all of the wonders of the glades. Thank you. Sarah Holcombe St. Petersburg, FL

I haven't been on their official everglades tour, however - when I was camping off of Florida Keys with a friend, I met Garl with his friends who were also camping on the island. In the initial meet and greet, Garl told us that he was an Everglades guide. Personally, I'm not too fan of "guides" because they seem too tourist-catering for me. However, as I got to spend more time with Garl , I realize how totally awesome this dude is: I went kayaking and fishing with him around, and he graciously allowed me to come long, even though I was a novice and may have probably took away from his experience. He was also very relaxed, and clearly dedicated to the wildlife, outdoors, adventure and has a lot of knowledge (without sounding arrogant!). If you haven't been kayaking before or only minimal experience, he would certainly put you right at ease!

If you like to go on a trip where you do nothing but sit in a big boat with a lot of people,Garl's coastal kayaking is not for you. If you however like to get as close to nature as possible and see the everglades like you should, this is it! Garl is a very knowledgeable and enthousiastic guide who also makes shure he takes pictures of you when you are not aware of it.Which creates great action shots! We took a trip on Monday the 16th of April with a group of seven people. It was a little windy so Garl adjusted the trip to make sure we'd see as many animals as possible. We saw gators, snakes and lots of different birds. After a full and exciting day we went for a night walk of the aningha trail creating the perfect end to a fantastic day!
