We went for a half-day tour with two kids (5 and 10) and had the best day of our vacation. Half day lasted past 6pm. Garl just kept going. He was enthusiastic, patient and knowledgeable. We never would have spotted half the wildlife around us without him. I wish we had gone for a full day so that we could watch the sunset and do the night walk. Oh well. Next time!

Was expecting company from the Pacific Northwest...so I was searching around for things to show my BNFwho is a nature buff. Had gone on Groupon.com and discovered a similar trip to the West Coast of Fl...but wanted something a little closer to home. Called my son who reccommended Garl, his comment was that after having been born and raised in South Florida, he still learned a good bit from Garl on his trip. And I have to agree. I've been here since the late 50's and Garl had a few new things to teach me too! My friend and I are both in our 70's, but still very physically active. However, my friend was recovering from a horse riding session where he got a hairline fracture in his lower leg from an " emergengy dismount ". So we needed to limit our walking to some degree. Garl tailored our trip to include some walking and a good bit of kayaking. We had a great time...good weather, no mosquitoes and no sunburn...just lots of fun and good information. I felt that my friend went home with some stories to tell and an appreciation for the Florida Everglades. Thanks again, Garl!

I have gone on Garl's Everglades tour several times and each time has left nothing to be desired, and has been very different from the ones before. Garl knows exactly where to go depending on the season and time of day for the best wildlife sightings. I believe he is the only guide that does this full-time, giving him an amazing amount of experience and knowledge. You will greatly enjoy this experience!
