Another unforgettable trip through the Everglades with Garl! Great weather, lots of wildlife including my favorite, sharks, definitely the most lemon sharks I've seen on this last trip, but aslo crocs, gators, dolphins, owls, tarpin, and of course a lot of birds, not many mosquitos. This was the 3rd trip to the Everglades I've been on with Garl, the first being all the way back in 2009, each trip has been at different times of the year and each time it has been slightly different, but always a great trip with incredible wildlife. You will not find a better guide to show you the Everglades than Garl. Excited about trying some fishing on my next trip!

Our trip with Garl was the highlight of our week based in Miami with our 3 kids aged 22,21 and 19. It was helpful that lots of information was given before hand about what to wear and bring on the activity and a packed picnic/ snacks are essential along with plenty of water as it is a full day. Garl is extremely well prepared and looks after everyone very well with bug suits, spare sun screen and mossie spray. The timing of our trip in July was not ideal and the weather was against us as there were dramatic storms in the area. Garl was adptable and gave us options re what we wanted to do whilst keeping everyone safe. We had to come back on our first salt water kayak as a storm closed in and then did the slog through the cypress dome. He then let us choose a fresh water kayak or to return to do the salt water kayaking again we opted for the latter although it meant a lot of paddling in one day. So glad we did as Garl explained that this is where we would really be rewarded with sightings of the local inhabitants. We were not disappointed and, over the day, we saw alligators, manatees, crocodiles, lemon sharks, roseate spoonbills, ospreys, skimmers, horseshoe crabs, herons and other fish and birds. Alongside that the plant life was amazing with orchids and bromeliads. Garl is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic he has a genuine love and connection with this place. Overall, an amazing experience which immersed us in nature and helped us value and understand natural habitats and why they must be respected and nurtured. We ended paddling back with a beautiful sunset.

One of our 2022 travel highlights is clearly our day in the glades with Garl Harrold. We are a family of 5 with our small kids being 8 and our elder one 15, so that the day in the glades was a great family experience offering a lot of fun and learning experiences to everyone. Great fun to hike during the glades and to better understand the magnificence of this area, kids had a chance to ask tons of questions and great adventure to paddle with a kayak through fresh and saltwater area. All of us had great fun and enjoyed the days to the fullest. Itā€™s on our top list of travel experiences and if we come back again to Florida, weā€™ll certainly go for a next tour with Garl!
