We had an incredible time with Garl. He picked us up at noon, and served us for a full 8 hours. Our family of four (kids ages 9 and 11) had the adventure of a lifetime. Experiences will vary based on the weather and season. For us, we started at an alligator hole, and slogged/hiked through the spot, seeing alligators, owls, birds, and snakes. Garl took pictures with his high powered camera and shared them with us as part of our tour. Next we drove further into the Everglades and kayaked through the freshwater mangroves, seeing alligators and other wildlife. We then drove to the very southern tip of Florida and the Everglades, and kayaked out into the Florida Bay in hopes of seeing sharks. The wildlife did not cooperate here, but as we returned to the marina, we saw crocs and manatees! Finally, we stopped at a boardwalk as it was getting dark. Garl provided flashlights to see the alligators as they were really getting active at night. The pictures he shared and the day we experienced are priceless. It is an amazing adventure.

So glad you enjoyed your "amazing adventure"! We loved having your family along. I'll bet the kids will never forget this experience. I hope we get to have you back again.

If you want to really see the Everglades, this is the only way to do it! The tour meets at noon at Robert Is Here fruit stand (get the Strawberry Key Lime shake). From the fruit stand, everyone loads into the van and heads into the park. Side note-save yourself (and everyone else) some time and follow their recommendation to buy the park pass ahead of time. From the entrance of the park, we made a stop to see an alligator and her babies along the side of the road. We then made another stop along the way that was the longer hike through the swamp and Cypress forest. We saw Princess and Snaggletooth, a snake, and a large variety of birds. Garl pointed out various plants along the way-there were some orchids in bloom. Be prepared for water and mud and uneven terrain, even getting stuck along the way. It was SO much fun! After the hike we were onto to the kayaking portion of the trip. Kayaked in fresh water and later in salt water. Saw more alligators and even some crocodiles, lots of birds, and sharks. This was an amazing day in the Everglades and I would do it all over again!

Our Trip got canceled the morning of the trip by email- which I'm glad I checked because it was an hour drive to get down there. We ended up with another service which went really well- but we were super disappointed to miss the full day adventure.

We are always SO sad to have to cancel a trip- it happens maybe once or twice a year at the most because usually the weather cooperates. But if we don't feel we can give you the experience you are paying for, we won't take out guests for a sub-par day, we would rather have you back on a great day when we can shine and show you our best. Thanks for understanding- safety first, fun second and highest quality service always.
