Wow, I had visited the everglades before by bike and by air boat and loved the beauty of this unique ecosystem so I was very excited to discover it again and I was blown away by this up close and personal experience. Garl guided us through his "office" with an intimate knowledge of every place - and every creature - we visited. Walking through the river of grass is an experience like no other and kayaking through the mangroves up until sunset was magical. I highly recommend discovering the everglades and it's wildlife with Garl!

What a great experience and it is very much owed to Garl. As a guide I couldn't request any one better. He was very knowledgeable about the Everglades with eagle eye to match. It can be easy to miss many of the hidden treasures without a guide to help you take pause and take it in. We went with the all day tour that started from 11 am to 8 pm. The pace is your own pace as Garl is super accommodating to his guests. We followed our barefooted guide as we all slogged through the cypress trees exploring one of the gator dens. It was an up close and personal experience. The day followed along with us heading out to the salt water portion of the trip and we were greeted by some local manatees. After following along the shore line we got a some sightings of crocodiles. Due to weather we decided to make a break to fresh water portion on Garl's advice. It was a great choice going for the groves as we got the opportunity to see one big boy on the shore line that Garl aptly named Croczilla. It was amazing seeing this ecosystem up close as there are too many words to define it and I can only suggest seeing it for yourself. We finished up the day on the night tour where Garl was still at 100% with being super attentive to pointing many of the points of interests that we would have missed by our selves. Really do not miss our on the night walk as there is an explosion of life out at night that you would not normally see. We appreciate the experience very much, many thanks again to Garl!

I had been hyped about this trip since the day I reserved and the tour did not fail to live up to my expectation! What I appreciate from this tour is not only the knowledges I gained for different animals, plants and the whole ecosystem of the everglades, but also the passion we saw on Garl and his team to the nature. Before the tour, my parents were quite hesitant to attend due to the concerns to safety and language barrier, but the tour proved that all our worries were unnecessary because Garl took care of everything and he patiently explained every question we had about the everglades. The only regret we had is that we didn't get to see a lot of animals (crocodile, lemon sharks, etc) in this dry season and Garl explained to us that 2019 is an unusual year for everglades because the water didn't not recede that much due to the excessive rainfalls and thus wildlife is more spread out in this dry season compared to other years. This also alarmed us how the climate change has impacted every part of place on Earth. Despite of that, we still saw a lot of alligators (Garl has a keen eye and hearing!) and one was swimming across us during the fresh water kayaking! Garl told us the stories and the names of those alligators and I was still amazed about how he can recognize all those alligators and call their names out! Every second of the tour was so fun and memorable and I hope I can come back next time with more of my friends!
