My husband and I went to Everglades with Garl on valentines day and I was nervous initially about being close to the wildlife as described in other reviews. But it turned out to be very safe and a very memorable day for both of us. We started out with a slogging hike through the waters of a cypress dome, it was super fun and informative. We saw snakes, owls, bladderworts and lots of other flora and fauna. We were knee length deep into water most of the hike and that made it super fun. We kayaked among mangoves at the Nine Mile Pond Trail, saw croczilla (pet name for their biggest crocodile), aligators (one was super close and very friendly). We also kayaked at Flemingo and watched beautiful sunset and the best part was kayaking back in moonlight. What better way to celebrate valentines than spending the day with new experiences and watching sunset together while enjoying white wine (Thanks Garl <3) and kayaking back in moonlight :) Just when we thought it cannot get better Garl enthusiastically took us to the Anhinga trail in the night, and I am so glad we did that in the night, as the experience was just so much more fun trying to find the flora and fauna in the orange/black light and looking at the lichen on trees, spotting aligators based on the reflection of orange light from their eyes! It was surreal and awesome!

WE were so fortunate to visit the Everglades with Garl. We have been before but never fully appreciated how beautiful the area was . HE has a deep knowledge and an extraordinary eye for finding the beautiful animals and plants that make this area so unique. He is blessed by an easy going and generous nature, that make spending the day with him very pleasant . And besides all this he is an accomplished photographer who takes a fantastic set of photos for you, so you donā€™t have to worry about anything . I felt entirely safe with his guidance and it was a day filled with great beauty and adventure. We gave up before he did. This trip was by far the best guided trip I have ever done and I look forward to doing many more with him .

My wife and I go biking and hiking in the Everglades once or twice a month in the winter, but this is the first time we hired a guide. We did the full day tour with Anna including a walk through a cypress dome, kayaking in Florida Bay and 9 Mile pond and a night walk along the Anhinga trail. Anna is one of the most knowledgeable biologists I have ever spoken with and she has a true passion for the Everglades and the animals that live within in it. We came across crocodiles, alligators, snakes, sharks along with many different species of tropical birds. Truly a fantastic experience. We'll be back.
