Do yourself a favor and devote a full day to touring the Everglades with Garl or his guides. Anna gave us a great biological description of this unique environment, and a great adventure. With respect for the ecosystem, we hiked in a cypress dome and learned about the plants and other inhabitants. We felt safe in Annaā€™s care taking a walk we would not try on our own. We then kayaked in two spots, fresh and saltwater, toasting the sunset at Florida bay. The day finishes with a nighttime stroll at the Anhinga trail. We have visited the park many times, but Garlā€™s is the way to go! They know where to find the most interesting birds and wildlife, and care about teaching their behaviors and traits.

My wife and i were staying in Key Largo and we wanted to do a little something different. We wanted to do a tour of the everglades. Upon checking the trip adviser reviews we decided to go with this one. The tour is broken up in different portions. Kayaking on the Florida bay, slogging in the Cypress Dome swamp, Kayaking thru the Mangroves, and finally a night walk along one of the trails. It was definitely a full day and a very enjoyable day.Ā  The slogging is truly something we will never forget and I would highly recommend.Ā  Once you're in the swampy cypress domes you can't even see the road. it's just you and nature. Wear shoes and clothing that can get a little wet or muddy because you will be knee deep in water.Ā I took an old pair of sneakers which worked well. Our tour guide was Anna.Ā Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the Everglades is obvious and so is her ability to show you things that an average person would never be able to see in the Everglades on you own, She was always happy to answer all questions asked of her and made us feel very at ease, especiallyĀ aroundĀ the alligators that lined the banks. If you are looking for a trip with a little adventure with a look at Florida's real natural wonders with an expert guideĀ and you want a unique experienceĀ then this is the tour for you.Ā WeĀ learned so much, and saw so much more than we would have on a self guided tour. Ā We left feeling like we had truly experiencedĀ  the everglades. Thank you Anna for making our everglades tour an unforgettable experience.

Great trip, ours was led by Garl himself who gave great knowledge about the local wildlife and other info about the park throughout the day. I would definitely bring shoes you're comfortable wearing in the water as on our trip part of the hike was through some shallow water. Great pictures, saw a lot of alligators and crocodiles and even a bull shark! Absolutely would recommend.
