Captain Tanner and his crew were amazing. The weather was a bit sketchy upon departure and unfortunately it deteriorated so much we were forced to turn back. Kudos to Captain Tanner for making the safest decision for us. Despite the weather, he still managed to show us amazing wildlife. Kudos also to the management of Major Marine Tour for giving us a partial and fair refund. Everyone felt appreciated and cared for. I ant recommend this tour enough!

We did a lot of Wildlife tours around the world, but this was one of -if not- the best tour. The captain of the Orca Sound vessel with so much enthusiasm and a lot of information about Alaska and the wildlife, together with 2 even enthusiastic crew-members. Ok, the weather was perfect, and we saw a lot of wildlife but the crew just made it PERFECT.

We took a ride on the Spirit of Adventure and it was a great experience! Captain Tanner did a great job helping us to see so many different animals, birds, and geological features! He knew where to take us for great views, pointed out different wildlife, and was very knowledgeable about it all. He also did a great job blending information with quiet times to take it all in. First Mate Tyler and crew Matthew, Mattie, and Brynlee (sp?) were very kind, helpful, and informative and made our trip very pleasant. We saw puffins, harbor seals, coastal goats, sea otters, bald eagles, waterfalls, and of course humpback whales and glaciers (among other things)! We also got to have a margarita with glacier ice in it! A few other tidbits: the meal was good and pretty filling (I have a pretty large appetite and I was satisfied). Everyone had an assigned place to sit (most had a table too), so there was no issue as we boarded. You were still permitted and encouraged to get up and move around to see things most of the trip. They had a changing table in one of the restrooms, which was helpful because I have a small child. It was raining most of our trip, but that didnā€™t stop the wildlife from being visible. But I would suggest dressing in warm layers and having both rain gear and maybe a second warm sweatshirt waiting inside for you.
