Full-Day Napa Valley E-Bike Tour

Overview
Experience the beauty of Napa Valley with all five senses on a guided bike tour visiting two local wineries. On the Full-Day Electric Bike Tour, you'll join a small group, hosted by a knowledgeable, local tour guide who will enhance your education of Napa's history, viticulture and wine making.

Electric bikes make this tour fun for anyone who can ride a bike. Casual bikers will find they can confidently ride longer distances and cruise up hills with no problem. And experienced riders who are hoping for more exercise can turn the pedal-assist level down or completely off to get more of a workout.

This tour will include two wine tasting stops (tasting fees not included) and a delicious picnic lunch catered by Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery. The seasonal menu includes sandwich selections such at Parisian-style ham & cheese, turkey & brie and tuna Nicoise. Your lunch selection will be accompanied by Kettle Chips and a petite dessert bite.

Napa Valley Bike Tours
After bike fitting & orientation (30 mins), your Tour Guide will lead you on a casual bike ride alongside the vineyards. You will visit a total of three wineries over the course of the day. Each winery visit will last approx 60 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting room host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices particular to each vineyard. Wine tasting fees are not included; you will pay tasting fees directly at the wineries during your visit (fees may be waived with minimum purchase). A delicious wine country picnic lunch will be served at the second winery after your tasting there.

Materra Cunat Family Vineyards
Roughly translated, Materra means ‘Mother Earth.’ The Cunat Family Vineyards, where Materra wines are grown, combine terroir, hand-selected and planted vines, a cooler climate and the extraordinary talents of a dedicated team to produce wines that are both tempting and complex. Materra wines are grown in the Oak Knoll District of the Napa Valley, a region well known for its deep, rich alluvial soil and excellent microclimates. Specific winery visits are subject to change due to availability. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the bike tour (some wineries may be waived with minimum purchase).
3
Silenus Winery

We had such a great time on our tour! Mike was our tour guide and he was so much fun and so knowledgeable. I was a little shaky because I haven't ridden a bike in ten years, but I was fine. I did run into a planter after trying to be smooth ducking a tree, but this was on our way back from two vineyards. My bruise is totally worth the enjoyment I had biking the valley. We visited Napa Valley Wine Company and Goosecross, both of which I loved.

The Napa Valley bike tours company did a great job of hooking us up with a pair of bicycles, helmets and water bottles quickly. We chose to not do the guided tour, but instead follow their trail map on our own. *One thing I think everyone should know before you commit to biking is that the majority of time you are riding you will be on the road next to cars! I assumed I would be on a biking trail away from all the wine loving drivers, but this was only true for a very short portion of the ride. I have heard that they are working on extending the trails and hopefully in the next couple years there will be a safer way bikers can travel between wineries.

I've done the "Napa Valley Bike Tour" with my mom and we had a really nice time. Our guide was excellent with great knowledge about the region. We made the tour inside the wineries, so we didn't rode on big highways, and we visited 2 wineries. I think it's a little bit necessary to have a fit preparation because when returning we've passed by some bumps and high hills. The only thing that needed improvement was the wineries itself (the tasting at Bouchaine could have been more interesting with more explanation about the wines, the guy didn't seen experienced and we could have tasted the wines outside).
