Full-Day Napa Valley E-Bike Tour

Overview
Experience the beauty of Napa Valley with all five senses on a guided bike tour visiting two local wineries. On the Full-Day Electric Bike Tour, you'll join a small group, hosted by a knowledgeable, local tour guide who will enhance your education of Napa's history, viticulture and wine making.

Electric bikes make this tour fun for anyone who can ride a bike. Casual bikers will find they can confidently ride longer distances and cruise up hills with no problem. And experienced riders who are hoping for more exercise can turn the pedal-assist level down or completely off to get more of a workout.

This tour will include two wine tasting stops (tasting fees not included) and a delicious picnic lunch catered by Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery. The seasonal menu includes sandwich selections such at Parisian-style ham & cheese, turkey & brie and tuna Nicoise. Your lunch selection will be accompanied by Kettle Chips and a petite dessert bite.

This was our second trip with Napa Bike Tours and we can't recommend it highly enough. Given Napa's gorgeous climate, beautiful scenery and bike-friendly topography, touring by bike with an engaging guide and friendly fellow tourists is the only way to go. This visit our group was lead by Mike, who was a great guy and great leader. Besides visiting three wineries we stopped at many scenic roadside spots along the way where Mike shared funny stories demonstrating his knowledge of wine making and Napa history. The tastings were very enjoyable, and lunch in the barrel room at Rutherford was both delicious and a special look behind the scenes. Best of all, the company on the ride was outstanding, as we toured with four really nice and fun people and by the end of the trip we all felt like we had made new friends. Our ride covered about 17 miles, which might sound like a lot, but the ride is broken up by regular stops and the valley floor is quite flat, so anyone reasonably fit can do it comfortably. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

We did a self guided tour with Napa Valley bike Tours. They sent us all the information ahead of time to pick our wineries, the directions and the lunch spot. They made everything very convenient. I would have done a group tour, but we needed to be done by 3:30. They were very friendly and professional, helped us size our bikes and we saw Mike, the personal assistant if we needed anything along the way, a few times. He offered us water and picked up our wines purchased. The area was beautiful, the bikes were nice specialized bikes. I loved that lunch was delivered in this cute spot and set up for us and we didn't have to worry about anything. We returned and had wine to be delivered, they made a special drop off to the shop just for us. That's customer service. I liked that it was at our own pace, the weather was perfect, everything was mapped out, they recommended the wineries to try and had everything smoothly set up. It was worth every penny.

This was our second trip to Napa - and fifth ride with Napa/Sonoma Valley Bike Tours (3 guided, 2 self-guided). Our most recent ride was the Carneros Loop - 33 miles total, leaving from Sonoma Valley Bike Tours. In hindsight, we probably should have combined a couple of the loops leaving from Napa Valley Bike Tours in Yountville, as the roads in Sonoma were rough! We reserved bikes online, and arrived at the shop at 10:00. The bikes were ready and once we got our helmets, ordered our lunch, and decided a place to have lunch delivered (with advice from the incredibly helpful and friendly staff at Sonoma Valley Bike Tours) we were off! We were able to taste at four different wineries, and had an excellent lunch from Sonoma's Best at Michael Mondavi Family winery. Kyah from SVBT was great, picking up any wine that we bought. The bikes that were rented were mechanically sound, as we had no problems - although I did have a bit of an issue clipping out of my right pedal - in hindsight, I should have had it adjusted at the shop. Approximately twelve miles into my ride I broke my clip - lesson learned! All I can say is that we had a blast and will look very much forward to returning to Napa and doing business with these guys again! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thanks Kellie! There is truly no better way to experience Napa Valley!
