Ho'okipa Beach Park

This hot spot should definitely be on your "must see" list! This beach is all about action and daring stunts on surfboards! Definitely worth stopping on your way to Hana! Lots of turtles too.

Ke‘anae Point

The Ke’anae Peninsula is a dramatic half-mile long massive finger of newer lava sticking out from the cliff line of the Hana Highway. Well before coming to the turnout, you will have ogled at the scenic peninsula from the many lookouts along the road.

Wai'anapanapa State Park

Waiʻanapanapa State Park, located at the end of Waiʻanapanapa Road off Hana Highway, features some of the most unique sights you’ll ever see. As home to one Maui’s volcanic-sand beaches, you’ll have the chance to experience a black sand beach alongside the ocean.(swimming/hiking/pictures)

Our guide, Holly, was a pleasure. She was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out everything to us in plenty of time to get our cameras ready. She was pleasant and a treasure trove of information about the island. We would definitely book with her again.

This was a free trip for us, arranged through our timeshare. We had a great time. Larry was terrific, very accommodating and super knowledgeable. He shared Hawaiian myths, history, and was familiar with most of the plants along the way--I never knew there were so many types of gingers and that even the non-edible gingers had their uses. The highpoint for me was seeing the sea turtles on the "blue roof beach" and the black sand beach and lava tube. We had expected to drive the road ourselves and it was so much more relaxing to have someone else drive so we could enjoy the scenery. Larry's expertise enriched the entire day. If you can afford this, I highly recommend it. And it was a full day!

Tour guide fun and knowledgeable. Flat tire left us stranded for over three hours in the vehicle. Kind young man stopped but couldn’t get tired changed either. 3 hours later someone from company should up! What a damper on the day. Good companies have a back up plan, obviously there was no plan but to leave us on road.

Aloha, I apologize about the inconvenience this might have created for you, and I understand the frustration of waiting as long as you did. Hana is a long way from civilization and to those that are familiar know how long the drive can be. The location where the tire went flat was the furthest point of Hana. We do have backups in place however that day we had to send a rescue vehicle out from the baseyard as no one was available. Since your booking came from the hotel concierges we did not have a way to refund you it would go through the concierges. From the sounds of it, it appears your concierges gave you a great offer - www.mauiseaosns.com. In addition to what the concierges gave back, we did try and offer a courtesy chauffeur within 24 hours of the incident to make up for the 3 hours of inconvenience. Unfortunately, we found out you were leaving the next morning and it would not work out. Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience and if you do come back to Maui we would love to somehow make it up to you. I'm glad you were at least able to enjoy the company of our driver. Mahalo.
