Ho'okipa Beach Park

This hot spot should definitely be on your "must see" list! This beach is all about action and daring stunts on surfboards! Definitely worth stopping on your way to Hana! Lots of turtles too.

Ke‘anae Point

The Ke’anae Peninsula is a dramatic half-mile long massive finger of newer lava sticking out from the cliff line of the Hana Highway. Well before coming to the turnout, you will have ogled at the scenic peninsula from the many lookouts along the road.

Wai'anapanapa State Park

Waiʻanapanapa State Park, located at the end of Waiʻanapanapa Road off Hana Highway, features some of the most unique sights you’ll ever see. As home to one Maui’s volcanic-sand beaches, you’ll have the chance to experience a black sand beach alongside the ocean.(swimming/hiking/pictures)

We felt totally pampered on our road to Hana! Andrea, our guide, was personable and knowledgeable. Plus, she was an outstanding driver! She planned ahead on meals for us, so we had no down time waiting for our food, was a excellent listener and remembered what we enjoyed, such as swimming at the black sand beach. There are so many other things I could say to compliment Andrea’s excellence as a guide and driver, but that would take way too much time to list. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend tours guided by Andrea! She made the beauty of nature come alive for us at each at every stop, as well as from the very comfortable vehicle that she drove.

We had a delightful day with our guide Andrea. She goes the extra mile. Andrea contacted us the day before to get our picnic lunch and breakfast orders so we could spend more time seeing the sights. She took us to many amazing beaches, waterfalls and view points. Highlight was swimming at black sand beach. We enjoy our conversations about the area and many other subjects. I highly recommend this tour with Andrea.

We had the most amazing day with Chance from Maui Seasons on our drive to Hana. He was so engaging with our 3 children (ages 17, 14 and 8). This was our first trip to Maui and Chance was a wealth of knowledge on our road to Hana and all things Maui. If you have not experienced the FULL road to Hana, you should; it is a memorable one. Just make sure to use an experienced driver and guide. We can’t say enough about our time with Chance.
