This remarkable full-day tour, showing you the very best of Grenada in a day. See St. George's, the prettiest capital town in the Caribbean. Travel up the western coast and visit the picturesque Concord Waterfalls nestled in the lush mountains where you can be refreshed by swimming in the cool water. Visit the fishing town of Gouyave and the spice processing station, where you will see why our island is called the "Isle of Spice" then continue to the Diamond chocolate factory to taste and learn how chocolate is made. Have lunch at an authentic Grenadian restaurant, before heading to the Caribbean's oldest functional water-powered distillery before tasting its potent rum. The tour would not be complete without a visit to Grenada's interior and largest national park, to see the Grand Etang Lake and rainforest.

We were picked up at the cruise port by Joe our guide, he was a lovely man very friendly and courteous. He gave us a commentary on the history of the island and pointed out highlights. The first place on the tour were the waterfalls I think they were called Anna bell falls, you could stand at the top or walk down to the basin and have a swim or paddle if you wanted to. There was also a small shop to buy gifts from. From there we went to a nutmeg plantation where they told you how they harvested the nutmegs and spices. We then travelled to the nutmeg distribution center where they sorted and weighed the nutmeg still sorted by hand. We then visited a chocolate plantation where we had a tour and sampled ghd chocolate. Joe then drove us up to Grand Etang where we drove to the highest point on the island. We had a fantastic time and the trip was good value for money.

We had a fantastic day yesterday with Michael, a fountain of knowledge of the island, he knew all the answers to every question we all had (there were a lot!) and went out of his way to show us answers to our questions where possible. Fascinating time learning about the rum and chocolate production and doing taste tests afterwards! Perfect way to see the whole island and more.
