Though currently closed to the public, this tour concludes with a chance to peer through the gates of one of our city's most iconic cemeteries. This above-ground cemetery has been prominently featured in TV and Film for decades. Your guide will conclude the tour with an informative and fascinating exploration of the introduction, tradition, and functionality of above ground crypts and the intimate connection New Orleanian families can preserve and nurture across generations, decades, and centuries.

I was extremely impressed with this tour! Our tour guide was Tara, a local with a wealth of knowledge on the history of the city and the Garden District. She took time to answer questions and show us everything--she went above and beyond. She was extremely passionate about her job and is a great storyteller. It was fun, informative and I'd do it all over again. Highly recommend!
