Germaine's Luau

Overview

The highlight of the show is the Samoan Fire-knife dance, known as the "Tooth of Death". In the original interpretation, this dance was performed with a dangerously sharp blade.

The story behind the dance is of a Samoan chief making a movie for Hollywood many years ago. He decided to include the flaming torch in his part to make the dance more spectacular.

The show also includes the energetic Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. True to the name, the dancers slap their chests, arms and legs repeatedly throughout this segment. For Samoan men, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their bravery and courage.

Wheelchair accessible - collapsible wheelchairs preferred
Most surfaces are wheelchair accessible, since we do have ramps to the Bar, the Restrooms, and the Ohana Gift Shop, and outside surfaces of the luau have harder sand
Motorized wheelchairs are allowed in most areas, however, Germaine's Luau will not be responsible for any damages to the electric mechanism for the chair due to sand, as our luau is on a private beachfront property.

My family and I had such a great time! I was so grateful they were willing to work on Thanksgiving to put on such an amazing show and dinner. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we were able to meet people at our table to share the evening. I would highly recommend the Plumeria package, as it allows skipping the long check in line, two personal bar lines with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage choices, preferential seating and first-serve dinner service. My children enjoyed this, and it is very family friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience the absolute best. There is not one thing I could think of that needs improvement.

Didn’t know what to expect but it was well worth the money spent. The views, the staff and overall appeal was amazing. Only negative I had to say about this event was they no longer put the lei’s on you. I was disappointed from the airport to the end of my trip!! That is Hawaii.
