What To Expect

Alpine Air Alaska

Your tour starts at our hangar at the Girdwood airport where you will receive a short safety briefing and board the helicopter for your flight to see spectacular glaciers and mountains. We ask all guests to arrive 15 minutes before your tour departure time.

Chugach National Forest

Fly over the glaciers and mountains of Alaska's Chugach range.

We are located in the scenic ski resort town of Girdwood, located about 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska. While in Girdwood, check out the great hiking trails and visit the Resort Alyeska after your flight with us!

Hands down the most incredible thing I’ve done. From the time the helicopter took off from the time we landed the views were amazing. Seeing wildlife and drinking glacier water straight from the stream is something I’ll never forget! I 100% recommend this. Also Martin was our pilot and he took beautiful pictures of us so for that I thank you! I’ll do this trip again a million times.

The helicopter seated 3 passengers and a pilot. My friends and I were so happy we decided to take this tour. The staff and pilot were wonderful and knowledgeable. It was worth every penny. The helicopter glasses were kept so clean and clear. During our difficult current situation, we were required to wear masks. The building we checked provided disposable masks and hand sanitizer. The glacier views, though, were so amazing. The experience on the top of the glacier was so indescribable. Our pilot was friendly and funny. He captured our group pictures on ice so perfectly. We loved this tour!

What an amazing and remarkable experience. The whole tour went so smoothly and the view was jaw dropping. The check in ladies were so sweet. We had an amazing pilot named Ty who guided us through the Chugach Mountains. The pilot made us feel safe and was very knowledgeable about the landscape. The helicopter 🚁 has a huge window view to gawk at the glaciers. My fiancé asked our pilot last minute of his special plans, which Ty executed perfectly by pretending to take a picture, but actually recorded our wedding proposal!!! I’d definitely recommend this company and tour. You won’t regret it.
