Alaska Excursions
On this spellbinding wilderness expedition, you will travel through fjords and rain forests viewing some of the most spectacular Alaskan scenery in Southeast. You’ll see everything from wildflowers to towering mountains and top off the experience with up-close views of the Davidson Glacier. Your adventure begins aboard one of our boats custom-designed to provide an intimate viewing experience. During your 75-minute journey through North America’s deepest fjord, keep a lookout for whales, seals, and cascading waterfalls while your Naturalist guide tells you more about the area you are traveling through. Upon arrival at the remote Glacier Point beach, you will take a short, adventurous drive across the forested glacial moraines to our base camp where you will gear up in rubber boots and a life jacket. After a ¼ mile walk, the forest opens to reveal a breathtaking view of the Davidson Glacier and pristine lake below. Here you will board a 31-foot voyager canoe for a trip around the lake to view the glacier and enjoy the incredible Alaskan wilderness while your guide shares his extensive knowledge of the area. Conditions permitting, you’ll make a stop on the delta to get up close and personal with the glacier. This is an optional 1/2 to 1-mile hike over a sand and pebble beach. After returning to the base camp, enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach before your return trip on the custom designed wildlife-viewing boat .

It was a good all around experience. First a boat ride to glacier point ( 1 hr) 10 min bus ride then canoe to glacier. Guides were really enthusiastic and entertaining. Off the beaten path

This is quite the adventure. You're going from your ship out to the Davidson Glacier by tour bus, boat, school bus, short hike, and finally canoe. (In that order) You're buying an excursion and you are getting one. It's fun without being strenuous. We went as a couple, but I think my kids would have enjoyed this.

First let me start with the great things about this tour! The glacier is absolutely amazing and our guide Shelby was so great! Because of the glacier itself this tour was totally worth the money BUT for the money you spend on this I think there are a lot of things that need to be improved. The process was so unorganized and we started almost 30 minute later than planned. The boat ride over is not a scenic boat ride as the tour makes it seem like it will be. Our ride was choppy and scary and LONG! The lunch was dry turkey sandwiches and reallly just a time filler. Everything after we got dropped off at the station was absolutely awesome. Those guides were organized and just wonderful!!!! I am glad I did this tour but just thing it could use some improvements for the money they are charging for it.
