If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

We have done this trip 4 times now twice with Taylor and she was the best you could ask for had a great time. We will definitely ask for her when we go back.

We were in Colorado for a family reunion and we all decided to go whitewater rafting with Defiance. We had such a blast that most of us went again two days later! They were very competent and safety minded, but the best part was the comedy/local knowledge provided by the guides on the trip. There is nothing greater than seeing the river and mountains from the view of a raft on the river. Doesn't compare to driving by it on the freeway. All guides we used were excellent, it was the highlight of our trip. They catered to the young children when needed and gave thrills to the teens also. Definitely recommend Defiance.

Group of 6 with 4 family members from out of state, and ages ranging 17 to 60. Shoshone had big waves and was enjoyably intense at 3900 cfs. Our guide, Taylor, was really good natured and a nimble boat handler who made sure we had a safe passage through the big rapids in the Shoshone section and kept the fun going by guiding our boat deftly through the more challenging routes and bigger waves of the generally more calm section from Grizzly Creek to Glenwood. She also did a great job of making sure guests were safe and comfortable, and generously shared the local geology and history with us in an engaging manner. In all it was a very professionally managed experience and everyone had a lot of fun. I have rafted the New, Chattooga, Nantahala, Arkansas, Colorado and a few other rivers over the years. Each river has its own character, but Defiance Rafting provides a clean and professional experience on the Colorado River that values safety and fun. Highly recommended.
