Overview

Currently the Park Service is not allowing us to mix groups due to COVID-19 safety procedures, so we are unable to provide this tour for less than 4 people. If you have a smaller group, please reach out to our company directly to discuss other options. By far our most popular hiking tour, this hike and sightseeing tour offers guests varying views of the Canyon, from the inside out. This tour is for guests who want to enjoy an excellent tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but also spend some time below the Rim.

Enjoy a great tour with a knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic guide who loves what they do. We provide door-to-door service from your stay place with everything you need to have a great time. Grab your camera and leave the lunch, snacks, beverages, hiking equipment, and driving to us! We pick up in the following towns: Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon.

Lunch will be ordered after booking. Gluten and/or dairy free available upon request.

What To Expect

Yavapai Point

We start the day with a viewpoint where your guide will give a hiking orientation.

South Kaibab Trail

The hiking portion of this tour will traverse 3/4 of a mile down the South Kaibab to Ooh Aah Point and then go back up the same way you came. Weather and crowd permitting you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the viewpoint. This delicious lunch is made by Brandy's restaurant the morning of your tour. All your gear, such as backpacks and trekking poles is provided.

Grand Canyon South Rim

The rest of the day is spent traveling to various viewpoints along the South Rim in a comfortable air conditioned van or SUV. At each viewpoint we will exit the vehicle and your guide will spend time showing you views through the provided spotting scope and regale you with interpretation that includes information about the plants, animals, peoples, history, and archaeology of the Grand Canyon. The viewpoints included depend on weather, time of year, crowds, and guide preference. They may include, but are not limited to: Mather Point, Grandview Point, Moran Point, Tusayan Ruins, and Desert View Watchtower.

I have never written a review for anything but this tour is worth my time to write. We cannot say enough good things about our day with Patrick from all-star tours!! Every part of our day was perfect and “once in a lifetime”!!! From Patrick’s knowledge of the area to the food and drinks that were ready for us, to the level of hiking suitable to us.... just PERFECT. Our kids are 11 and 13 and my hope is they remember this day for a very long time, as I surely will!

If you're headed to the Grand Canyon, do yourself a favor and book a day with All Star! We had such a fabulous experience with our awesome guide, Cory, who couldn't have been more fun to spend time with ~ knowledgeable, patient, witty, and courteous. He made us feel safe and comfortable, explained everything, and took pictures for us along the way. He even made a video for my daughter's 5th grade class who is studying rock formations. His passion for the Canyon is evident and contagious. We had a lovely, delicious picnic lunch at Hermit's Rest. The weather didn't want to cooperate with our sunset plan, but it didn't matter. We were completely fulfilled by the day's experiences (and proud of ourselves for conquering our fears). Thank you, thank you, thank you All Star!!! P.S. Cory, next time we're in town, we'll take you and Molly out for dinner. So nice to meet you guys! :)

Had great time with Molly seeing the sights and hiking when it was not too chilly. Perfect private tour to see the sights around the South Rim, hike when able (weather permitting, not a fault of ASGCT at all!), and an amazing amount of food and drinks to keep you going. Great to hear the little stories, small sights next to the large sights, and learn the history of the area. You guys did a great job and have coped well to the changed dynamics of tourism!
