What To Expect

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

great hiking trail, beautiful scenery , guide KIM was great very nice person, full of knowledge and tips, lots to see, good bag lunch. highly recommended. Didnt see a lot of wildlife but scenery makes up for that, provided hiking sticks and bear spray

Loved the views and the trek off grid through the grassland was very fun. Saw a coyote hunting and some bison grazing in the grass. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the hike!

This was the 2nd hike we had booked with Yellowstone Hiking and was fortunate enough to get the same tour guide that we had the day before on our Geyser hike. Also fortunate that my friend and I were the only hikers on this outing so we felt it was a personal tour. By far this was the best experience I had at YNP. The sights were incredible and I felt a true connection to many of the areas very few hike to. This is a must-do if going to the park!
