Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you had never been to yellowstone before, like me and my wife, we highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Alex was fun and very knowledgable of Yellowstone history. She made the trip really enjoyable, at a good pace for everyone, and she answered pretty much all the questions our group had. Overall, if you had to choose a hike from all the ones offered, I would hands down pick this one. The price is very reasonable and the 6-mile(ish) round loop gives you breathtaking views of the canyon and the falls. Many thanks to Alex for making our time in Yellowstone so memorable!

The hike exceeded our expectations because of Alex. She is very well informed re: the geology, history, animals of Yellowstone and shared stories and her personal experiences with us. The hike was well-paced and Alex managed the group of 14 who ranged from 10 to retirees with good humor and grace. Following her advice, we drove 2 hours to Slough Creek the next morning to arrive at 0530 to see wolves frolicking in the water and then to the Lamar Valley and saw a grizzly grazing among bison. Would go on any hike with her as the guide!

The views along the hike were breathtaking! Our guide was knowledgeable (but fun and not boring!) and did a fantastic job managing the pace and experience for the group.
