Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

Josh met usaf Tower Junction, in the north of Yellowstone and took us along the Lamar Valley road before we walked off into the valley. It was great to get away from the crowds and into a lovely area on our own, which we would not have done without a guide. Josh was knowledgeable and amenable and we very much enjoyed our time with him. Lunch was great and it was one of the few times on our trip that we felt relaxed with the kind of break we were looking for. We would book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hikes through Yellowstone with Emily Jo and Josh. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of the land was so apparent. They taught us about animal and land conservation. It was a memorable trip. Thank you, Jan and Brian

That sums it up. We paid for the Lamar Valley and Lone Star Geyser hikes in January. I had a feeling that they were going to cancel when we never heard from them, aside from a generic "we'll be in touch" email about two weeks before our scheduled tours. I finally emailed them our contact information and asked them to confirm our pick up place and time. They never responded to my email; but I did get an email on the Saturday afternoon before our hike scheduled for Monday that they were cancelling both hikes. No explanation. There are valid reasons for last minute cancellations but none were provided to us. If Yellowstone is on your bucket list, think long and hard before trusting this business with your dreams. I regret that I did.

We are very sorry we were unable to accommodate you. A cancellation with Yellowstone Hiking Guides is rare. We did issue a full refund and found another available outfitter.
